Is this the official ICC® exam?

No — this is independent study material that prepares you for the official ICC certification exam. You still sit the real exam through ICC and its testing partners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Code Council.

Which code cycle do your questions follow?

Some ICC exams are split into 2021 and 2024 code-cycle forms, and if yours is, you choose your cycle when you register. Our questions follow the 2021 cycle where a cycle applies. Check your exam registration for the code year (or confirm it is a "No Code Year" exam) before you start studying.

The exam is open book — why do I need practice questions?

Because the difficulty is finding and applying the right provision quickly, not recalling it. For I-Code-based exams, ICC also gives you a clean digital codebook at the exam with none of your own notes, bookmarks or tabs carried over, so speed of navigation is the skill that actually gets tested.
