Are Fire Cert Academy questions the exact questions I will see on my exam?
No. NICET, NFPA, and state licensing questions are confidential and change regularly. Our question pool is independently written from the same codebooks your exam draws from. The goal is to train you to reverse-engineer questions and find answers in your codebook quickly — that’s the skill NICET and similar exams actually test.
Am I guaranteed to pass my exam using Fire Cert Academy?
No. We can’t guarantee your results, and any prep service that does is lying. Fire Cert Academy is a practice and feedback tool. Our paying members pass at a higher rate than candidates who don’t use structured prep, but your outcome depends on how much you study, how well you know your codebooks, and your field experience.

Which codebooks are allowed for each exam?
The allowed references, time limits, and question counts for each exam are listed on the relevant pricing page for that discipline, along with direct links to the official NICET or certifying body page. We keep this information current with the latest NICET exam specifications.
Can I practice on my phone?
Yes. The entire Fire Cert Academy site — practice tests, results review, account management — is built mobile-first. You can study on a phone between jobs, on break, or on a plane.
Do I see the correct answers and explanations after an exam?
Yes. After every practice exam, every question you answered is available for review with the correct answer, a codebook-referenced explanation, and (where available) the exact section and paragraph to look at. Many explanations include keywords to help you build an index lookup strategy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to your account page and click Manage billing. You can cancel in one click through the secure Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.
How do refunds work?
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on first subscriptions. Submit a request through our contact page within 7 days of your first charge and we’ll issue a refund — no questions asked. See the full refund policy for details.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Accounts are protected by industry-standard authentication, all traffic is encrypted over TLS, and we do not store payment card details — billing is handled by Stripe. See our privacy policy for the full breakdown of what we collect and who we share it with.
Can I get a receipt for my purchase?
Yes. Every charge generates a Stripe receipt that is emailed to you automatically. If you need a reformatted or itemized invoice for expense reporting, submit a request through our contact page (subject: Billing) and we’ll send one within one to two business days.
