Two domains are two thirds of the paper

Documentation and control equipment together are 67%. Everything else is single digits. That concentration is the clearest signal on this page: CR rewards depth in submittal review and panel and wiring arrangements, not breadth.

What CR adds over CN

The domain names look similar to CN's, but the content behind Documentation and Plan Reading is broader. CR's task language reaches into emergency communications and mass notification systems, which is NFPA 72 Chapter 24, and CN does not test it. If you hold CN and are preparing for CR, Chapter 24 is the delta.

Calculations drops from 20% to 8%

Worth noticing if you are moving up from CN. The arithmetic that was a fifth of CN is a twelfth here. The hours you spent on battery sizing still count, but they count for less, so reallocate toward documentation.

Work the heaviest domain first and check yourself against the weighting, not against how interesting the material is. The published percentages are the closest thing to an answer key you get before exam day.
