Qualifying Agent is the technical principal required for any company licensed to sell/install/service/monitor fire alarm systems in Tennessee. Per Tenn. Code Ann. Title 62 Ch. 32.
Eligibility Requirements
Minimum 3 years of alarm-industry experience in alarm system installation. Plus either a Board-approved post-secondary degree OR a current national certification (NICET FAS is the standard).

NONE. Per the Board: 'The State of Tennessee does not have reciprocal agreements with other states at this time.' BLC general-contractor trade-exam waivers (AL, AR, GA, LA, MS, NC, OH, SC) do NOT apply to fire alarm classifications.
