Keeping Your Certification Active

Renewal requirements

Cycle
Every 3 years, expiring July 31. 21 hours of continuing education per cycle, 15 of which must be Massachusetts Electrical Code update.

Reciprocity

None. Massachusetts has no reciprocity for systems licences — the out-of-state electrician pathway covers Class A and B only and does not extend to Class C or D systems work.
